Halloween: a hauntingly magical celebration

Shshshshhs!!!! It's just past midnight October 17th. Everybody has gone to sleep. Today is Miss Vanessa's hauntingly magical celebration of Halloween. And guess what? I haven't got a clue of what I am going to show on my blog...better hurry, but shshshshshhshs...be quiet....who is that knocking? Stop that!!! Ooooh it's a package....someone delivered a package after midnight, now how spooky is that? .......

Now let's see what's inside:

Een tijdschrift, wat spinnen...
A magazine...? Some spiders...mmm wait there is more:

Een prachtig foto album!
A photo album, now isn't that nice?

Oooh kijk eens, da's leuk: mijn oudtante Magda!
Look inside: There is my aunt Marge, when she was young;

En hieronder mijn oudoom Henri:

and this is uncle Henri, he must have been a huge Abraham Lincoln fan in his days...

And here is my grandmother, she is the young girl of course....
I loved the album! Then I discovered a pair of glasses on the bottom of the box:

Now I'm 48 but I still don't need reading glasses, but for fun I put them on:

Hahaha grappig!
Hahaha, great!
Let's see if I can read that magazine any better:

These glasses make me feel dizzy...what do I see?

Het ene moment zie ik deze^ vaas,
One moment I see this vase, the other moment:

Het volgende moment zie ik deze^ vaas. Wat gebeurt er toch?
Oooh what is happening...???

Looking in the mirror I got scared to death!!!

Look at my hands...my nails...my ring...(just click on the photo to see the details)
and look at the album...:

Now look at auntie Margie...I just knew it...

En oom Henri.....dus dat was er met je aan de hand...
Uncle Henri....so that is what you really are!

And of course my grandmother and my great great grandmother...But this is no surprise... after all we found out that I am a witch last year...remember....?

Did I scare you? Now wait here is the grand finale; this is what I call scary:

Oh isn't this totally ugly??? Really disgusting!!!

You can buy these dried flower things in every thrift store for nothing.

A few weeks ago I won a gift certificate of 25 USD, at the Speckled Egg to spend at the Speckled Egg webstore. Now I didn't have any trouble to do that. Look what I choose. I decided to choose a lot of dresdens... to do this:

So you throw the dried flowers out, put some fun Halloween stuff in put the ring back. Mmm doesn't fit that tight anymore huh? Now the dresden comes in! Heather is having a sale on dresden trims right now, grab your chance here! I have another fun idea with the dresdens, so stay tuned!

Thanks for visiting me at this early hour of the day, sorry I didn't have any daylight to take the photos. Hope you have a wonderful time partying at all bloggers that celebrate Miss Vanessa's hauntingly magical Halloween Party, just check the list over there on her left side bar and be sure to visit every one!

Yay, I get the first comment! Your nails are perfectly frightening, but I guess that makes sense, since you come from a long line of witches. I am reading this rather late and completely expect to have nightmares.

What a lovely little entry- I wasn't nearly as creative. I had all these ideas in mind and then time just slipped away from me. But love the old photos- That's so nice that you have images of your family. We don't have any of my family photographs - Only of my grandparents... So cherish those pictures!
