Hallo allemaal,
Hello my dear friends,

While my American blogfriends were celebrating Halloween, this was the most Halloween I could get last weekend:

I was staying at my cousins', having a great time, playing with this one and his brothers:

Is there anything more cute than a puppy? This is one of the four Bichon Frisé x Jack Russel terrier puppies that my cousin has, or to put it better; her bichon frisé Cleo has. My cousin keeps one. Three puppies are still for sale (you can email me if you are interested).
When I visit my cousin we always go to a flea market. It's not the perfect season for outdoor flea markets anymore, but we didn't care. We have way too many things already, so we decided to buy not too much or just small things:

Like this tin, filled with small old fashioned dip pens.

It goes with my collection of ink related items^.

Nog twee piepkleine oude snuifblikjes
Two old fashioned snuff tins and they just fit in:

Die pasten mooi in mijn speelgoedwinkeltje^
One of my antique toy shops^

No matter what, I never can resist vintage Christmas ornaments. The bells still ring, but the little trumpets are silent (the violin doesn't make any sound either...).

Neither can I resist any bright colored childrens books. I love the Tiny series from the late 50-ties, translated from French, illustrated by Marcel Marlier. When you are looking for them, only buy the ones with the title page shown as on the photo above, these are the best!

But in the end I couldn't resist this bowl, and two matching containers that obviously belonged to a washing set. The jug is missing of course and perhaps a chamber pot. It is flawless and was only 2 euros (about 3 usd).

A perfect fruit bowl in my kitchen!
Hope you had a fab weekend too! Have a great week!
xoxo LiLi M.

Bonjour Lili! Ou bien, bonsoir! Again, your posts are so beautiful and it looks like the Netherlands would be a marvelous place to not only find great vintage wares, but to meet great friends like you. The Dutchess and Sandra from Presipio are both in Holland and they are such warm people, like you! I have got to get over to see your world; it is magical. Have a great day, Anita

Hoi Lili,
Groetjes, Janneke.

Hi Lili! It looks like you had a fun weekend playing with that puppy! Your ink pen tips are cool! I have a small set of them, but no cool tin to put them in. I like your "ink related items", too! Very nice!

Your fruit bowl looks delicious!

jaahaa, gevonden!

Well I have to say my favourite thing is the snuff tins - can you think why!!!

I've not been lucky with vintage Christmas tree decorations yet, I will keep hunting though!

Alice in Wonderland is my favourite Disney movie, I've added a decoration of Alice to my Christmas list this year!

Lili, you always find the best stuff…I love the blue and white bowl,
it is so pretty……
The Pen nibs are perfect; they will look great with your collection.
I too have a small collection of desk items, all belonged to
my husband’s grandparents. My favorite items are a silver letter opener and
wax stamp handle that was a wedding gift to them when they got married in 1899.

I have never seen the Tiny series books, they look cute.
And that is the sweetest puppy.

groetjes Marja.

I would love to go to the flea market with you Lili! I love all of your treasures. I have a box of antique pen dips (I call them nibs) somewhere. If I find them you can have them. They go with your collection.
Have a great week Lili!!

I'm impressed with your ink collection (I don't think I've ever seen one!) but I love the Christmas ornaments best, of course. It must have been a good weekend for finding bells.

Hi Lili,
Oh my gosh I think I'm in love with that sweet little face! How did you not bring one of these little pups home? I couldn't have either, but it would have taken all the will power I could muster not to.
You made out with the shopping! There are some things there that I would love to have live with me. That bowl you have your fruit in is one of them. I think it sounds like your whole weekend was full of fun.
Hugs,
June

Lili my dear I am green of envy as usual. Any and I mean ANY flea market in Sweden is even close to what you have in the Netherlands. Those Christmas ornaments, so beautiful.

The puppets where so cute. I am more a kitten kind of girl but theese little ones was "eyecandy". Johanna, my oldest daughter is "mothering" seven little kittens at the moment. They are four weeks old and so sweet. Two of them looks just like my dear cat that passed away in august and I am trying to convince my husband that at least one of them can move in with us. Haven`t had much luck yet I am sorry to say.

Take care
Jeanette
