A new bear and a new born in town!

Isn't he cute?
I really shouldn't ask, as I made him!
With a lot of help of Rosabears' Marja, she did the outfit too.
I did a bear making workshop at Rosabears'.
I (mmm we) made this cute little guy in two lessons (2 x 4hrs).
Marja and I were talking all the time, so I sure needed some help to speed up the process.
Marja is an excellent teacher and if your considering bear making I can really recommend her workshop.

Bear made by Marja on the left, bear made by me on the right.
Marja teaches you exactly what to do, but still you make your own bear and not Marja's bear. How clever is that? As you can see both bears have their own personality and their makers' signature. I had such a great time! Having my first internet date with this result! Marja, I want to thank you for everything!

Last Sunday we visited friends to see their newborn daughter Erin.

The birth announcement card is top left, the card I made to congratulate them is bottom right.

I decorated an empty boots box just like the birth announcement. I used the backside of a very plain wallpaper to cover the box. I made the drawing with felt pens. Luckily I have miles and miles of ribbons, so the red gingham was in my stash.

I lined the box with a red gingham fabric, just like the ribbon on the announcement. For the little one we tucked a cute outfit inside.

Sugar and spice
All things nice
that's what girls are made of!

Thanks for your visit and happy Thanksgiving to all my American blogpals!

Bonsoir Lili!!! Lili, I had to call over my husband to look at that unbelievably cute bear! We both love fine stuffed animals and he has bought me the loveliest bears and rabbits throughout the years. Handmade, Steiff or otherwise, there is something wonderful about them. Yours is perfect. What fun you must have and that baby announcement is so beautiful! I am trying to squeeze in some craft time to make gifts; quite a feat for a busy teacher! Thank you for the well wishes for Thanksgiving, Lili! I raise my glass to you for your friendship and kindesses towards me dearest....bless you always! Anita

I also love the sweet little shoes you attached to the baby card, and your box with the little outfit snuggled inside is gorgeous. Her parents must have been thrilled. There is nothing more wonderful than a new born baby.

Lijkt me ook heel gaaf.

groetjes Lia

Oh Lili!!! What a great name...Boris! I love the other name of Rose, but how about this: NATASHA? I don't know if you are familiar with the "Fractured Fairytales", an old and hilarious American cartoon from the 1960s with witty characters. Boris and Natasha were a Russian spy couple. I love Boris. Boris the Bear! Do you know the Dutchess? One of her beloved characters is a bear and his name is Mozes. Bears are so beautiful and yours is magnificent! Let me know what the "verdict" is; I will most definitely visit the blog you named and many blessings to you all!!! Bisous, Anita

Hi Dear,
krijg langzaam krampen in m'n vingers.

Groetjes weer
Cobi
