A collection of seven: needle booklets and some spring greetings

7 needle booklets. 7 naalden mapjes.

Needle booklets, what to tell about them? I have exactly 7 of these. I just love them, they hardly take any room and I love to give them as presents, in a card or in a swap. I have given the roses basket to many girls already! I bought most of these on flea markets. 'Hausfrau" and "Stitching time" both on the far right were given to me by my bff Mrs. H. "Sew and Stitch" under middle was a gift from Vicki of Hollyhocks in my first swap in 2007. All these booklets are shown in my showcase with sewing notions. Today's number seven will be a short post.

And now for something completely different:

Spring is in the air! Last week I visited my relatives and I brought a small plant, a primula, for each family. As I bought a tray of those plants, I had to make them look like presents, but of course I forgot to take photos. So especially for you:

The last three primula acaulis plants still hanging around after a week!

First you wrap the pot in a small plastic bag.

Then you wrap the pot in a matching spring fabric.

Afterward you tie a tule ribbon round the pot.

For my relatives I added small pink cards with 'Spring greetings', but these stay here as small presents to myself.
Have a nice Sunday, thanks for your visits and your warm comments,

AHHHHH, SEVEN, my favorite number. Let's see what you have here....wow, Lili, you are organized! Not only are your collectables rare and wonderful, the fact that you have them intact and in numbers is astonishing! My momma used to always have packs like these in her sewing trousseau. Lovely memories here in your world my sweet! And those flowers; oh I want to see flowers! We did get a nice melt yesterday, however! Bisous, Anita

Hi Lili, The needle booklets are beautiful. I wish I had the ones my mother used to keep, but alas they were tossed out after her death by a silly relative. The primulas are beautiful! I'm so glad spring is almost here. ♥

Hi LiLi, I see you love vintage sewing notions as much as I do. You have a lovely collection of needle cases! Hadn't the needles been packed so much nicer in former times?
Have a great Sunday afternoon!
